I played a lot in college (who didn't?) and have played on line some over the last several years. I joined the ACBL and played in several open sessions in South Carolina, where we have a second home, earning 1+ master point. My self-assessment after three sessions was that my play was reasonably good but my advanced bidding techniques needed a bit of work. The director of that club recommended Max Hardy's book, "Standard Bidding for the 21st Century" which I have ordered.
